Blackpink, Jisoo Strictly Distances Herself from Brother’s Controversy: “No Financial or Legal Ties”

The agency of Jisoo from the girl group BLACKPINK has drawn a clear line regarding allegations of sexual misconduct involving her older brother, stating that the matter is “completely unrelated to the artist (Jisoo).”
On the 20th, attorney Eun Hyun-ho of Kim & Chang, the legal representative of Jisoo’s agency Blissoo, said in an official statement, “The issue currently being raised has absolutely no connection to the artist or Blissoo.” He added, “The artist began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently, apart from her family, for a long time, making it impossible for her to be aware of or involved in the individual’s private matters.”
The attorney further explained, “During the preparation process for establishing Blissoo, the artist did receive limited advice and assistance from family members as intermediaries in communication. However, no family member has ever received compensation from Blissoo or participated in its decision-making.” He added, “Since then, the company has been operated entirely independently, without any involvement from family members.”
In particular, the attorney emphasized that rumors claiming Blissoo was “co-founded by the artist and the individual in question” or that “the individual is part of Blissoo’s management or serves as CEO” are completely false. “That individual currently has no legal or managerial relationship with Blissoo whatsoever,” he said.
He continued, “Blissoo and the artist are not providing any financial or legal support to the individual, and have no plans to do so in the future. They are also not engaging in or involved in this matter in any way.”

The attorney warned, “Continuously spreading false information or linking the artist’s name, likeness, or image to unrelated issues constitutes a clear violation of rights and defamation. We will immediately take all possible civil and criminal legal actions.”
Meanwhile, Blissoo is Jisoo’s personal agency, established in 2024 after her exclusive contract with YG Entertainment ended. Jisoo’s older brother was arrested on the 14th for allegedly attempting inappropriate physical contact with a woman.
