Global hitmakers aespa have officially kicked off the highly anticipated comeback era for their second full-length album.

According to SM Entertainment on May 12, aespa’s pre-release track “WDA (Whole Different Animal),” unveiled on May 11, immediately swept music charts around the world, proving the group’s unmatched global influence once again.

Shortly after its release, “WDA” entered the Top 10 of the iTunes Top Songs charts in 17 regions worldwide, including Portugal, Brazil, Vietnam, Singapore, and Chile, showcasing aespa’s powerful international reach.

The track gained even more attention thanks to a feature by K-pop icon G-DRAGON, whose participation created explosive synergy, particularly in the Chinese market. On China’s largest music platform, QQ Music, the song surpassed 250,000 yuan in sales and earned a “Gold Album” certification.

In addition, “WDA” topped Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart across five major platforms while also dominating digital album sales and music video rankings, continuing its all-kill streak.

Following the successful launch of “WDA,” aespa will officially release their second full-length album LEMONADE on May 29 at 1 PM KST.
